Spring at Foothills & Berliner Messe

Benjamin is preparing for the spring semester with his church choirs at Foothills Unitarian Church in Fort Collins, and looking forward to performing Pärt’s Berliner Messe with the Ars Nova Singers in Boulder and Denver in February.

MM and Baltic Trip

Benjamin just earned his master’s degree in Choral Music from the University of Illinois, and is currently preparing music for a series of conducting masterclasses in Estonia which he will be participating in later this month.

Fall Semester 2021

Benjamin is preparing for the start of the school year. Site updates will be on pause until the end of the semester.

Summer Break

After a busy start to the summer, Benjamin is enjoying some time away on a short vacation.

New Choir Director at UUCUC

Benjamin is happy to announce that he has been hired as the new Choir Director at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Urbana-Champaign! He will begin working with their sizable all-volunteer choir this coming fall.

ISYM and UIUC Choral Conducting Symposium

Benjamin is currently an instructor at the Illinois Summer Youth Music camp at the University of Illinois, working with the ISYM Black Chorus. He is also a participant in the Illinois Choral Conducting Symposium, studying conducting in a workshop setting with other students and educators.

Bach Academy

Benjamin is currently participating as a Young Artist in the Illinois Bach Academy, preparing several Bach cantatas and performing solos from early Baroque oratorios.
